If you were stranded on a desert island, what three beauty products would you like to have with you?
Smith’s Rosebud Salve, a razor (I don’t see a reason to be uncivilized), my Tom Ford lipstick in Casablanca
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your personal style?
Music! I wake up with a different theme song in my head every day.
What is your favorite indulgence?
Shoes. Shoes. Shoes.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
“It is what it is”
What is your favorite Houston store and/or restaurant?
I like to change things around, but for my favorite Sunday brunch I love La Mexicana (you must try the machacado!) I have not been able to find good machacado outside of El Paso…so that says a lot. Another restaurant I love is Arcodoro. There beef carpaccio is amazing!
For local stores…Katia Boutique is awesome!
What’s on your plate? (Future projects, travel plans, etc.)
I just took my mobile boutique (a vintage airstream named…Babette) to a private Pigeon Shoot in Rosharon. I’ll spend this Easter in Saint Barths with family. Then, this summer I’m hosting 3 parties in Aspen, going to market…then it’s off to the Hamptons.
How do you spend your down time?
Reading. I always have at least 3 books going.

I’ve bookmarked Bethielife.com already on my computer. I look at CultureMap just to find out what’s going on around town and Bergdorf Goodman…but besides that…that’s really it.
What are three things you can’t live without? (Besides God, family, and friends.)
My favorite PJs, false eyelashes and my baby blanket…that’s right…you’ve heard it here!
Tell us something humorous about yourself.
I can’t dance. It was suggested that I discontinue my ballet lessons by my teacher
Do you have any irrational fears?
I’m afraid of the dark. I always have been.
If you weren’t in your present occupation, what would you dream of doing?
Writing the great American novel.
