Today we are introducing you to Julie Anderson as our BethieLife Woman Crush. This active supermodel turned into the “champion of women” co-founding her website Feminine Collective. Francois Nars, of Nars Cosmetics, recently named one of his lipsticks “Julie” after our girl. It is part of his Audacious Lipstick Collection, and he only names them after iconic women who inspire him. Wow!! Where did you grow up?
I grew up in central Florida. I AM WATERS brought me to Houston, and I will be forever grateful for that!
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three beauty products would you like to have with you?
Lashings of Nivea body lotion.
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your personal style?
My husband and my kids. My husband because he knows my body so very well. He always can spot what the best fit for me is. My kids because they make sure that I don’t end up looking goofy in public.
What is your favorite indulgence?
Chocolate.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Get OVER it!!
What is your favorite Houston store and/or restaurant?
Educate me. I have not had the pleasure of exploring Houston – YET.
What’s on your plate? (Future projects, travel plans, etc.)
I have spent endless hours on grooming my baby Feminine Collective. I am completely obsessed with it. Thankfully my partner, Marla Carlton, has the same affliction. It is what we live and breathe. Other than that I am a “gun for hire” ready in a flash to make appearances, head to a job or act out whatever happens to be a casting director’s delight. Of course, the most pressing and important part of every day are the wants and needs of my family. I try.

If you weren’t in your present occupation, what would you dream of doing?
When I was a kid I wanted to be an archeologist. Since I was 20, until TODAY, I always wanted to be a rock n’ roll goddess.
What books or movies have you loved recently?
We just watched “The Babadook“, SCARY. I just finished Go Clear (on scientology) that was scary too. Now I am in the middle of I am that Girl, written by Alexis Jones – this book is inspiring!
