Where did you grow up? If not in Houston, what brought you here?
Born in Miami, but grew up in Houston.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three beauty products would you like to have with you?
A natural sunscreen with zinc, lip balm and hair conditioner.
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your personal style?
Finances! When my career began, money was tight, and I learned to live and shop on a budget. I’ve developed more expensive taste, but I still need to feel I’m getting a deal. I don’t like to spend frivolously.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
My music director at Mix 96.5 where I worked in 1991-1992 mentored me and said, “When you walk through those doors, you leave your problems behind you and focus on your craft.” Taught me how to keep my eye on the prize without distractions.
What’s on your plate? (Future projects, travel plans, etc.)
What’s not? How much time do you have?
How do you spend your down time?
Rest, excercise, read, get a massage.
Tell us one Houston Hidden Gem (places that aren’t necessarily well-known) that you recommend.
Midtown Reflexology. Great massage at an even better price. Now I won’t be able to book an appointment.
Tell us three of your health/beauty tips.

Tell us something humorous about yourself.
I’ve worked ever since I was 13. My first job was part-time in construction. I painted the pool area, garages and tarred driveways where I lived. No one believes me!
If you weren’t in your present occupation, what would you dream of doing?
I love old Hollywood glamour and style. I would have loved to have been an actress in the 1940’s-50’s.
