Location: Three Brothers Bakery
The history of Three Brothers Bakery is very rich, tracing back to Poland in the 1800s. The original three brothers survived the Holocaust during World War II and brought their baking skills and recipes to Houston following their liberation. When they came to Houston to open Three Brothers Bakery, the three brothers were doing what they knew how to do – bake. To this day, the bakery still makes everything by hand, using recipes that have been in the Jucker family for five generations.
Since opening its doors 66 years ago, Three Brothers Bakery has grown to three locations, with the original store still located on S Braeswood, a second store in the Memorial area, and its latest location off of Washington Ave. Each store has a little bit different of a feel. Braeswood is more traditional, while Memorial and Washington are both more modern and sleek, with sleeker finishes and full-service coffee bars.
Three Brothers Bakery is a full-line bakery, offering everything from traditional Jewish breads to cookies, to pies, cheesecakes and cupcakes. In addition to an extensive product line, the bakery offers custom, wedding and special occasion cake designs. The team at Three Brothers Bakery lovse to create memories for their customers – they say they are memory makers who happen to be bakers.
I had so much fun on this shoot. I love the decor, great patio, and friendly service. Cheesecake is probably my favorite dessert and this one exceeded all others!
