I had the privilege  of attending the 2017 Miss Houston/Miss Houston Teen pageant this weekend! Last year I was a judge for the pageant, and have since become super fond of so many of these girls. They are all beautiful on the outside, but each one of them is equally beautiful on the inside. They are also college grad, law students and pre-med students. These girls are also so supportive of each and become close life-long friends with each other throughout this entire competition. Congratulations to Miss Houston winner Hannah Johannes and and Miss Houston Teen winner Yasmine Moussa! A special congratulations to our outgoing Miss Houston Logan Lester and Miss Houston Teen Mary Frances Nance for representing the city of Houston with grace, beauty and dignity over the last year. I am honored to now call you both my close friends and and am excited for the chapters in your lives.

I have a special thanks to my bestie Nicole Lassiter, former Miss Texas, who involved me in this pageant last year. I continue to enjoy my association with everyone involved.
