Location: Tootsies
One of Houston’s darlings, Debbie Pakzaban, has written a children’s book, Lord Fancy Pants. She has two daughters whom she loved to dress up as they were growing up. What if she would have had a boy? she asks. The book starts with the premise of what if a young boy wanted to dress “dapper” and goes on to teach other values such as humility, generosity and the value of friendship.
Speaking of friendship, many of Debbie’s friends gathered at Tootsies for a book signing in her honor. Velvet Slipper Divine, Vivian Wise’s air stream travel trailer named Babette, operated as a book store where many patrons purchased the book with proceeds going to charity. The book is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the website www.lordfancypants.com.
