Location: iPic Theater – River Oaks District
I recently got to attend the media launch of the new iPic Theater in River Oaks District. Imagine being in your own living room, a five-star restaurant and a theater all at once. That is exactly the iPic experience. With it’s cozy pod seating, blankets, pillows, waiters who bring cuisine and drinks right to you. It’s heaven for the movie-goer. iPic River Oaks District officially opens to the public this coming November 6. This will be the only theater inside the 610 loop playing blockbusters Spectre, Star Wars and Hunger Games. President and CEO, Hamid Hashemi, along with chef Sherry Yard and craft cocktail specialist, Adam Seger, were all on hand to explain everything iPic to all of us visitors.
There is also a full on-site restaurant, The Tuck Room, where you can enjoy a full menu and drinks, and also take anything from there into the theater with you. The iPic experience is like no other, providing an “ultimate night-out” for moviegoers, with a premium movie-watching that everyone can afford, plus gourmet chef-driven cuisine and mixology prepared by Chef Sherry Yard and Mixologist Adam Seger.
iPic guests can enjoy today’s top movies while sitting in plush, full-leg reclining seats complete with courtesy pillows, blankets, unlimited popcorn and personal-service call buttons.
Moviegoers pick and choose their exact seats in advance by going online at ipic.com so you never have to worry about a seat or rushing to the movies. The theater also offers a FREE membership program to all guests, which includes discount pricing, priority ticket notification, access to exclusive movie showings, and many other perks.
iPic Houston is the first iPic theater to feature revolutionary pod seating.
