Location: Firestation 3
Tuesday night was the official media launch for Heart of Fashion. The turn out for the evening was overwhelming! The venue was packed with attendees, all excited to support Vivian Wise and her mission. I know that Heart of Fashion will be a huge success due to Vivian’s incredible ability to connect and surround herself with a first class team. Each member of her collaboration is a power house in their respective fields, and have used their vision, talents and motivation to help create this wonderful brand.
The event was held at the eclectic Firehouse 3, a newly renovated party venue. Station 3 was one of Houston’s original fire stations, built in 1905. In it’s beginning, it used to put out Houston’s hot flames using horse drawn wagons and steamers! The invention of firetrucks soon made the use of horse-drawn fire trucks obsolete, and at this point the new vehicles were too large to fit into the station. The building was then remodeled several times, until it landed into the capable hands of David Denenburg, who renovated the station and turned it into the wonderful party venue that it is today.
The overall vibe of the evening was upbeat and filled with excitement over the new Heart of Fashion. Vivian, her team, supporters, participants and patrons are not looking at this huge undertaking as work, but as a fun mission to inspire and help others through the medium of fashion. Adding to the event were lovely models from Neal Hamil and Page Parkes staged in fiberglass towers in fashions from Sloan/Hall, Elizabeth Anthony, Tootsies and Inclan by Paola Contreras. Heart of Fashion supporters are already enthusiastically buying their tickets for the 3 nights (12 shows) which will be held Nov. 18-20 at Million Air.
