The evil eye is a curse believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they are unaware. Many cultures believe that receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury. Talismans created to protect against the evil eye are also frequently called “evil eyes”. These eyes are also used for good luck and known as “good luck eyes”. This colorful sweater and aztec skirt  are from Em and Lee, a boutique on West Gray that offers upscale trendy women’s clothing at friendly prices. The knee high boots, jewelry and purse are also from Em & Lee.  I always find something fun there.

The River Oaks Theatre is one of a handful of sites in the Houston area that carries on the tradition of showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show at midnight, which can be seen on the second Saturday of every month, complete with the “Royal Mystic Order of Chaos” shadow cast.
