Location: River Oaks District
On Thursday, October 5, Fashion X Houston presented amazing collections from some of our favorite River Oaks District brands on the runway. Thank you Houston for giving us the most beautiful weather for this opening night! The plaza of River Oaks District served as the perfect setting of guests to mingle before the fashion show with food, drink and pop-up shops. The wonderful fashion show featured 10-12 look collections that you can only see in Paris, Milan and New York but brought right here to Houston. The evening’s runway lineup included Chopard, Les Copains, Vince, Alice+Olivia, DeBoulle, Cos, Joie, Roberto Cavalli, Baanou, Eres and Vilebrequin.
Thursday night’s event honored Style Setter Lindsey Love. Unfortunately Lindsey was unable to attend due to a family emergency.
20% of all front row ticket proceeds went to Recipe for Success, with all remaining proceeds benefitting Β Rebuild Texas Fund.
Fashion X Houston, which features local, emerging and notable designers presenting runway shows alfresco, runs Thursday, October 5th through Saturday, October 7th at River Oaks District. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Fashion X Houston and River Oaks District are now committed to donating a majority of proceeds from the three-night event to the Rebuild Texas Fund, the initiative led by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to raise $100 million to support the Texas communities devastated by Harvey. A portion of proceeds will also benefit Project P.U.S.H. to support those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Prominent fashionistas from the Houston community such as Lindsey Love, Staci Henderson and Carolyn Farb were also honored for not only their influential style, but for their tireless devotion to non-profit organizations. Fashion X Houston will also donate 20-percent of front-row ticket proceeds to the selected non-profit of each womanβs choice, respectively, Dress for Success, the Rebuild Texas Fund and Camp SAY.
