Houston’s annual Fashion Event Fashion Houston reveals its fresh branding for 2015, as new partners Jared Lang and Vivian Wise prepare to make this years event Fashion Houston Six, its best to date celebrating a “new era” for fashion in Houston.
Fashion Houston Five drew fashionistas to the Wortham Theatre Centre to celebrate fashion and view this years spring collections by designers including Alexis Monsanto, Rebecca Minkoff and Naeem Khan as well as local talent David Peck and Chloe Dao. FH5 also included the 10 winners of the Little Black Dress Designer awards with 10 muses modeling the finished products. The event has grown year by year, featured as a calendar event for the city, and already designers are making their approach to showcase their collections on this years runway.
Organizers are working on some new elements to this years event including the introduction of the Fashion Houston Foundation, which will benefit chosen charities to be revealed later in the year. Charity partners will benefit from a percentage of ticket sales as well as other benefits. The event will also introduce a Legacy Award, which will honor an individual or organization who have made a significant contribution to the fashion industry.
Once again, much diversity is expected on the runway as well as the supporting of emerging designers with an opportunity to showcase their work.
