Location: The Webster Houston

Houston’s very own student designer, Amir Taghi, recently hosted a champagne and styling party at The Webster. Taghi is working there this summer until he attends the Parsons School of Design in New York this fall. Designer Taghi has a loyal following and clientele in Houston, including yours truly, and he invited us to check out the amazing store The Webster. Store Manager, Habib Issa was greeting guests and showing us the unique pieces that sets The Webster apart from all other stores. They carry Galvan London, Dior, Chloe, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana, Balenciaga and Balmain, just to name a few. The men’s and women’s collections found here are carefully curated by Webster founder Laurie Heriard-Dubreuil. The Webster is a unique high-end fashion boutique for men and women with its flagship store in Miami, along with a store in Manhattan and Houston. We are so lucky to have this 5,000 s.f. free standing building handily waiting for us right out front the Galleria. So easy to just pull up, park and run in. What makes The Webster unique is how they offer exclusive, limited pieces from various designers and capsule collections that you might not  see elsewhere.

Very exciting news is that The Webster will be showing the Galvan collection at this year’s Heart of Fashion  , which takes place November 16, 17 and 18. They will be participating in night 3 and this is a show that you don’t want to miss!! This London-based label was established by four young women from the worlds of fashion and contemporary art. Founders Anna Christin Haas, Sola Harrison, Carolyn Hodler and Katherine Holmgren, frustrated by the formality and over-embellishment of most evening wear, decided to launch Galvan in 2014. The brand reflects their shared longing for a more cosmopolitan and luxurious approach to evening wear. I cannot wait to see their runway show at Heart of Fashion!!

This location’s collection of luxury fashion houses mixed with emerging designers provides a one of a kind retail experience. The décor integrates the ambiance of the ultimate walk-in closet, that is complete with luxurious furnishings and contemporary artwork from Houston native artist Max Snow, as well as incredible photography from artists Ellen von Unwerth and Dennis Hopper.
