One of my favorite things as a Houston fashion blogger is to support our young local designers. So when Alan Gonzalez of Alantude asked me to attend his fashion show I was all in! The Alantude F/W 2017 Fashion Show included models in bubbling cauldrons, a paper sign-in dress, dancers, singers, a pole dancer, and of course lots of trendy fashions! Young and talented designer Alan Gonzalez, wanted to convey the overall theme of accepting others of all beliefs. It was felt throughout the show and all of the evenings proceeds were dedicated to the JJ Watt Relief Foundation.
Between decorated jean jackets, cocktail dresses, spell-casting gowns and enchanting capes, the Alantude show was a true experience. All designs can be custom ordered at Alantude.com
Alan Gonzalez is a Texan raised Mexican that discovered fashion design through his love of theater. He graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 2012 and graduated from the Fashion Design program at HCC Central in 2016.
Through his time there he has worked backstage at many fashion shows including Fashion Houston, Heart of Fashion, Fashion HTX, Fashion Woodlands, and many more. He won first place at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts’ Fashion Fusion event with his “smoking dress.” It was then on exhibition at that museum, then at the Allen Center, then the Houston Central Public Library, and now his senior collection is on display in the lobby of his college.
