Location: Inclan Studio
As a Houston fashion blogger, I love visiting the ateliers of Houston designers. Paola Contreras of Inclan is one of my favorites. She is so lovely and her clothes are amazing. She designs for style, functionality and comfort. I fell in love with this blue jacket and matching pants. These pieces can be worn together as a suit, or worn separately with other outfits. The ecru camisole adds femininity and takes the outfit from day to night.
Paola’s passion for fashion developed early in life while playing dress up in her mother’s closet. She tabled her artistic career to pursue International Business at Merrimack College from 2006 to 2010. After a brief time in the private sector, she decided to follow her heart back to Houston and began attending fashion school at the Art Institute in 2011. Before graduating, she was awarded 3rd place in the Houston “Little Black Dress Designer” competition. She began her Fashion Design career working as lead pattern maker for Paty, Inc. Paola’s senior collection marked the launch of her first women’s Ready to Wear clothing label, Inclán Studio in Fall 2013. Inclán Studio has shown at various notable fashion shows including Heart of Fashion in 2015 as the featured Emerging Designer, as well as Runway Houston.
